About this site

Standards and accessibility

Beit Chaverim is committed to communication with the widest possible audience, regardless of challenges they may have. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) publishes standards and recommendations for improving accessibility for differently-abled persons, and to ensure the most consistent appearance and user experience across a range of browsers and other conditions. Accordingly, this site has been designed to be in conformance with level A of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0, including all Priority 1 checkpoints defined in the Guidelines (these guidelines explain how to make Web content accessible to people with disabilities), and with specifications for HTML 4.01 (Transitional) and CSS Level 1.
